A very special 2 hour bird watching tour on the mighty Daintree River.

All tours are different, depending on season, but target species include the Great-billed Heron, Black Bittern, Spotted Whistling-ducks, Kingfishers (Little, Azure, Buff-breasted Paradise, Sacred etc), Shining Flycatchers, Papuan Frogmouths, Black-necked Stork and many, many more.

Ian "Sauce" Worcester is a renowned birding guide with decades of experience on the Daintree River and will provide insight into the history and ecology of the river.

The boat is a comfortable 10 seater with individual swivel seats to ensure all guests have excellent viewing

opportunities. The boat is open top (with canopies for rain protection if needed).

The 6:30am start gives the best chance of spotting many birds, as the fog breaks and the early morning sun brings the river to life.

On the tour, you will also get an overview of the mangrove and rainforest environments that line the river banks. The shallow draft of the boat allows access to the smaller creeks as well as the main river.

Binoculars and species lists are provided.
